SPRINGDALE (KFSM) - A drive-by shooting in Springdale that left a 20-year-old man dead on Saturday (April 11) has some neighbors in the area concerned.
The gang-related shooting happened on Saturday at a residence located on Savage Street in Springdale, according to the Springdale Police Department.
Yanelis and Amarilys Aponte have lived in Springdale for about five years. Their grandmother recently moved into a home on Savage Street where the shooting happened.
Yanelis Aponte said that her grandmother heard gunshots on Saturday.
"My grandmother went to the back to throw away her trash and she saw the guys and then when she went back she heard gunshots," she said.
The Aponte family hopes the shooting does not bring more crime to the area.
"It's really sad seeing people dying just for gang-related stuff like that," said Amarilys Aponte. "I'm a little scared that somebody will come and start shooting."
