WASHINGTON COUNTY (KFSM) – Power has been restored for 15,000 people throughout Fayetteville and Farmington, according to Ozarks Electric Cooperative.
The incident was caused by a lightning strike in west Fayetteville, and substations in the southeast part of the city were disabled due to a blink in a transmission line, a news release states.
Two substations were re-fed from another delivery point, but an open breaker in a Farmington substation had power off to nearly 15,000 people, according to Ozarks Electric Cooperative.
