LEFLORE COUNTY (KFSM) - The Fort Smith Police Department has arrested a woman accused of shooting a man in the head on Saturday morning (April 18) at 7 a.m., authorities say.
Felisha L. Carshall, 23, is accused of entering the residence of Tyler Dunnigan on Cowshed Crossing Road east of Spiro and shooting him in the back of the head, deputies said.
She then left the residence and stole a vehicle from another home in the area, according to police.
Dunnigan was taken to Mercy Hospital in Fort Smith, treated for his wounds and then released into the custody of authorities at the Sebastian County Detention Center for outstanding warrants.
Carshall is described as an American Indian woman with brown hair, just over five feet tall, and she weighs approximately 150 pounds, authorities said.
