FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)- A Springdale man was booked into the Washington County Detention Center Monday (April 20) on suspicion of possession of sexually explicit conduct involving a child, according to jail records.
Joshua Glen Box, 32, was arrested following an investigation by the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, according to an arrest warrant filed on April 10.
In June 2013, the ICAC Task Force identified a computer located at a residence on Chadwick Street in Springdale that was offering to share child pornography using an internet filed sharing program, the warrant states. After executing a search warrant, investigators determined Box was engaged in the possession and distribution of child pornography, according to the warrant.
Box admitted to officers that he had been downloading child pornography since he was 15 years old, the warrant states.
The ICAC Task Force conducted a forensic examination of Box’s computer and computer-related items and found approximately 2,500 images and 450 videos of child pornography, according to the warrant.
Box was released on $2,500 bond and his next court date is scheduled for May 18, according to jail records.
