ROGERS (KFSM)- The Walmart AMP season kicked off April 24, and this weekend another big name artist filled the venue yet again. The band Chicago lit up the stage Sunday night (May 3).

Lisa Nicholas and Michelle Rhoden went to the AMP for the first time Sunday.

"I have a feeling tonight it's going to be one of those nights where overtime they start a song I'm going to be being going 'oh do you remember this?' yeah just about every song I'm sure will bring back a memory," Nicholas said.

Bentonville resident Jack Kates said the high-end facility is why he's a repeat customer. He said he went to two concerts last year.

"It's family-friendly, the people are friendly, the prices are not that bad on concessions and stuff, the parking is good, you don't have a lot of crime around here to have to worry about your vehicle being broken into," Kates said.

Media director Erin Rogers said after having a successful first year, the AMP is able to bring in big name artists.

"When you open a new venue, and people come and they have the experience that they have, where they have concessions they have the community that participates and then you have the crowds that we have that are just rambunctious and very lively and happy that those artists are here, that it puts you on the map," Rogers said.

Rogers said there are two new rules this year: patrons are not allowed to bring selfie sticks or cameras. The next show at the AMP will be May 16. The Steve Miller band will be performing.
