VAN BUREN (KFSM)- Voters in Crawford County decided to continue a 1% sales tax in a special election held Tuesday (May 12).
2,548 voters cast a ballot in favor of keeping the tax and 705 cast a ballot against it.
County Judge John Hall said the tax supports many county departments including the Road Department and Sheriff’s Office.
The 1% sales tax has been in place for 16 years, now it will last for another eight.
