SPIRO (KFSM) – The body of a 60-year-old LeFlore County farmer, who was swept away in flood waters earlier this week, was found at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday (May 13), according to LeFlore County Sheriff Rob Seale.

Dennis Donaho’s body surfaced about 100 yards from his submerged tractor in the Poteau River near Spiro, Seale said. Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers recovered the body.

Donaho went missing Monday morning (May 11) after he had gone out to check on cattle on his land near the river, officials said.

The farmer's body has been sent to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Tulsa, Seale said.
