ROGERS (KFSM) - Hundreds lined up at the Pleasant Grove Walmart Saturday (May 16) to meet the widow of American legend Chris Kyle. Taya Kyle is touring the United States doing book signings of her new book American Wife.

Chris Kyle is famously depicted in the 2014 Academy Award winning movie "American Sniper." He is known as the most lethal sniper in U.S. history.

"Seeing the movie was the first time it was a little bit frightening even though I went in knowing the people involved could not have put more into this movie truly, I knew so I was at peace in a way to know that it was going to be the best a movie could ever be, but it's still trying to cram a whole life into two hours," Kyle said.

She said her book is meant to bring comfort to other military families.

"There's a lot of healing people get just from having a story that's raw and sort of unfiltered, because I think a lot of really strong people feel like they're alone, and they're not," Kyle said.

Retired National Guardsman Jordan Duncan worked overnight and drove from Springfield to meet Kyle.

"I followed Chris Kyle ever since I heard about him getting killed, and I read his book about a year later and just thought it was absolutely inspirational to read it and made me want to get out there and do what I wanted to do," Duncan said.

Kyle said she is blessed to be able to share her story with so many people and knows that her husband is watching from heaven.

"I think that if God allows our souls to be protective and to watch out for people once we get to heaven, then Chris is the type of spirit that wouldn't be stopped from doing that," Kyle said.

Kyle recently announced that she will be a part of the Patriot Tour again this year, alongside retired Navy Seal Marcus Luttrell, known famous by the book and movie "Lone Survivor."
