FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – The Fayetteville Police Department has created a “safe zone” to make online transactions safer.

The department said its parking lot and lobby may now be used to conduct transactions from sites like Craigslist.

“Fayetteville residents can feel safe conducting business in a well-lit parking lot or a lobby that is monitored with video cameras,” a news release states.

Lobby hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The parking lot is available anytime.
