VAN BUREN (KFSM) – A flooded Arkansas River is threatening homes in the Flat Rock Court neighborhood in Van Buren, according to Crawford County Emergency Manager Dennis Gilstrap.
Gilstrap said Van Buren Police officers are going door-to-door in the southeast Van Buren neighborhood, warning people of localized flooding from the river. Residents in that area need to be aware they may need to move to higher ground, especially overnight as the river crests, according to Gilstrap.
The neighborhood is located east of Interstate 540 and south of Industrial Park Blvd.
