LEFLORE COUNTY (KFSM) – The names of those involved in the deadly LeFlore County shooting that took place on Saturday (May 23) have been released, authorities say.

On Saturday, authorities say 70-year-old Troy Lindsey and his 50-year-old son David Lindsey were drinking and got involved in a verbal argument. David Lindsey walked away from the porch of the residence where the shooting took place, and his father fired at him with a pistol, hitting him twice, according to deputies.

David Lindsey was pronounced dead by EMS personnel, and Troy Lindsey was arrested shortly after, according to the LeFlore County Sheriff’s Office. Troy Lindsey was booked into the LeFlore County Detention Center and faces a charge of first-degree murder, authorities said. No bond has been set for Troy Lindsey.

David Lindsey’s body was sent to the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office in Tulsa for an autopsy.

The investigation is still ongoing.
