SCOTT COUNTY (KFSM) – More than 4,500 residents in Scott County were still without power on Tuesday morning (May 26) after strong storms hit the area.
Severe weather moved through Scott County and surrounding areas on Monday afternoon (May 25).
As of 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday, a total of 1,640 SWEPCO customers still didn’t have power, according to the company’s outage website. That number represents 76 percent of their Scott County customers.
Arkansas Valley Electric is reporting nearly 3,000 power outages in the Scott County area as of early Tuesday morning.
