BENTONVILLE (KFSM) - The Walmart Shareholders Meeting is next week, and some businesses in Northwest Arkansas are preparing for the thousands of visitors to the area.

One of those businesses is the Tusk & Trotter, located a block from the Bentonville Square on A Street. Scott Baker is the manager, and said the surge of out-towners means more foot traffic at his restaurant.

"It's huge exposure for the area, everyone wants to come and see the five and dime, they want to go see what Sam Walton originally started Walmart as, and of course there's Crystal Bridges and stuff like that for people to see, and it's a huge flow of traffic coming in," Baker said.

He said they will have extra servers on call next week. Baker also said they stock as much food as possible.

"We order what we can and do the best we can with what we got, you just expect the most," Baker said.

Baker said he hopes his restaurant will attract visitors, because of the unique nature of the menu. He said almost all of the ingredients come from Northwest Arkansas.

"It's our twist on southern traditional food," Baker said.

The Walmart Shareholders Meeting will be Friday (June 5) at 7 a.m. at Bud Walton Arena.
