FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)- For the first time since 2004 and only the second time ever, the Arkansas Razorbacks will host an NCAA Super Regional at Baum Stadium.

The Razorbacks will play No. 8 national seed Missouri State Friday-Sunday in a best of three series with the winner advancing to the College World Series in Omaha.

Game one will be Friday at 3:30 p.m. and televised on ESPN2.

Game two is Saturday at 1:00 p.m. on ESPN2.

Game three (if necessary) will be Sunday at 2:00 pm. on ESPN2 or ESPNU.

Missouri State shares Hammons field in Springfield with the AA Cardinals and was not allowed to put in a bid to host a super regional because of a ballpark scheduling issue.

Both teams went a perfect 3-0 in their respective regionals. Arkansas beat Oral Roberts, Oklahoma State and St. John’s by a combined score of 19-14 to advance.  Missouri State was impressive hosting the Springfield regional. The Bears beat Canisius once and Iowa twice by a combined score of 22-6.

The Bears already beat Arkansas at Baum Stadium this season, winning 2-0 on March 31, and have won 19 straight games dating back to April 26.

They are led by two of the best pitchers in the country. Jon Harris has a 1.85 ERA and 8-1 record in 14 starts this season. He has struck out 113 batters and was named the pitcher of the year in the Missouri Valley Conference. Matt Hall leads the NCAA this season with 163 strikeouts in 116 innings.

The Razorbacks expect to throw  juniorTrey Killian on Friday and freshman Keaton McKinney on Saturday.

As of Tuesday morning at 8:00 a.m. all tickets to the super regional are SOLD OUT.

Season ticket holders and foundation members are permitted to use their regular season parking passes for Baum Stadium this weekend. No additional NCAA parking passes will be issued or available for purchase.

Per the NCAA, no alcoholic beverages shall be delivered, sold or dispensed for public consumption anywhere in the competition venue, nor shall any such beverages be brought to the site during the championship (i.e., during the period from the time access is available to spectators until all patrons have left the stadium). Coolers and any bags entering the Hog Pen will be searched to ensure compliance with the NCAA’s policy.
