Police Presence At WalMart Shareholders Kept High

FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – The Wal Mart Shareholders event brought thousands of concert goers to Bud Walton Arena on Wednesday (June 3.)

With so many people making their way to the arena, police presence was heightened for the whole week.

According to the University of Arkansas Police Department, more than 50 police officers are on hand at any point during events.

Some of the agencies involved include the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the Fayetteville Police Department, the Bentonville Bomb Squad, and Arkansas State Police.

Those 5NEWS spoke with say they felt safe.

“We have felt very-very-very safe, it is very safe," said Esnath Muzawasi, an associate from Africa.

“It has been fantastic, said Gideon Motswike, an associate from South Africa. “It has been fantastic.”
