FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) -- Walmart shareholders and associates have been participating in concerts, shopping trips, meetings and other festivities all week, leading up to the big meeting on Friday. With a high number of people expected to be in attendance, security measures are being reviewed ahead of the Walmart Shareholders meeting.

Matt Mills, captain of University of Arkansas police said, "We're very concerned with the safety, making sure that we have people in place as the associates cross the streets. So we'll have the sidewalks covered. We'll have the roadways shut down, except for passes, so it will be similar to a football type of game with the access into the arena area."

Mills advises that if you don't have to be around Bud Walton Arena tomorrow morning, to avoid the area. If you do have to be in the area, he asks for everyone's understanding in being patient, as this event only occurs once a year.

Drivers should expect most of the traffic to be on Leroy Pond and Meadow Street, and there will be traffic control on Razorback Road and some side streets, as well.

Authorities warn to give yourself 15 to 30 minutes extra time to drive to your destination on Friday morning. People attending the Super Regional Baseball game on Friday afternoon should not be affected by the event's morning traffic.
