FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)- Thousands of fans flocked to Baum Stadium Friday (June 5) hours before the game, and just as many fans were seen leaving early after the Razorbacks dominated the Missouri State Bears.

Hogs fan Jack Bailey said the energy in the stadium was electric.

"It got pretty loud, they got one up on us in the beginning and it got quiet for a little bit but we had a big inning and it was back on," Bailey said.

Fayetteville resident Jamie Payne said he wasn't able to make it to the regional games, and said he was shocked by Friday's turn-out.

"We were here two hours early with a thousand other fans, what a great atmosphere, we need runs for Saturday and Sunday both," Payne said.

If the Hogs win Saturday (June 6), they will be headed to Omaha, NE for the NCAA College World Series. Razorback fan Whit Waller said that's what it's all about.

"It's everything, to win the first one all the pressure is on the other team," Waller said.

The second game of the series will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
