SEBASTIAN COUNTY (KFSM) – A trailer with $20,000 worth of auto parts was stolen on Saturday (May 30), deputies say.

The victim parked his trailer in a Choctaw Casino parking lot on the Arkansas side and rented a room at the hotel. The trailer was stolen overnight and reported the next morning, according to a news release.

The Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office said surveillance footage showed the trailer being taken by a suspect driving an older model Ford F-150 pickup truck. The truck is a faded red color and has a plywood tailgate with PVC pipes sticking out of the bed.

Deputies discovered the truck was a stolen vehicle and said its tag number is Arkansas 135 DDR.

At 1:30 p.m. on that same Saturday, the trailer was found in Pocola near the Arkansas border. It was empty, according to the release.

Anyone with information on the suspect who stole the trailer is encouraged to contact the Sebastian County Sheriff’s Office at 479-783-1051 or the crimestoppers tip line at 78-CRIME.
