SEBASTIAN COUNTY (KFSM) – A vehicle accident happened Saturday morning (June 6) on the northbound lane of U.S. Highway 71 near Greenwood, according to Arkansas State Police.
Craig Edwards drove by the scene, he described it as really bad from his perspective. “I could see two ambulances alongside the highway carrying a person out,” Edwards told 5NEWS. He also said the northbound lane was shut down near Huntington and police were making drivers use the southbound lane to head north.
Craig said the accident involved a Jeep Grand Cherokee, and located it one mile north of Huntington and six miles south of Greenwood.
Arkansas State Police told us they received a call of the wreck shortly after 10 a.m. Saturday. But, they couldn’t comment any further.
