GREENWOOD (KFSM)- The Greenwood Police Department said there have been several snake bites in the city.

According to a post on its Facebook page, they have heard of several snake bites in the area.

The post states with the recent flooding, a lot of snakes have been pushed from their usual habitat.

    If they are not poisonous then I hope that people do not kill them. They are just as scared of people as some people are afraid of them. Even if they are poisonous, it would be better to call someone to remove them and let them be turned back into the wild.
