FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – A man from Earle was arrested on Tuesday (June 16) on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 14-year-old girl, police say.
Laquinten Jones, 22, was booked into the Washington County Detention Center on Tuesday at 7:14 p.m. and faces a charge of fourth-degree sexual assault, according to jail records.
On March 22, the victim and her mother came to the Fayetteville Police Department to report the sexual assault. The victim was later interviewed, and she said she was raped by multiple men that she couldn’t identify and engaged in prostitution, according to an arrest report.
On March 23, police made contact with a witness to the sexual assault. The witness showed authorities a video of the sexual assault taking place between Jones and the victim, but the witness only knew Jones as “Que,” police said.
Investigators later identified “Que” as Jones, and a warrant was issued for his arrest on May 18. Jones was taken into custody on Tuesday.
His next hearing is scheduled for June 24 at 7:45 a.m., according to jail records. Those same records state that Jones’ bond has been set at $15,000.
