SPRINGDALE (KFSM) – Governor Asa Hutchinson has proclaimed July 2015 as Lakes Appreciation Month in Arkansas, according to a Beaver Watershed Alliance release.
The release stated there are more than a half-million acres of water reservoirs in Arkansas, and encouraged all to “appreciate the lakes of our Natural State by participating in recreational activities such as swimming and boating.”
Lakes Appreciation Month is an international effort supported by the North American Lake Management Society.
