FORT SMITH (KFSM)- An estimated 3,000 people packed the Fort Smith Convention Center for the annual Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Sunday (June 21) marked the third and final day of the 2015 convention titled “Imitate Jesus!” Organizers said the day focused on a multimedia presentation on Jesus’ life and ministry.

Richard Lawrence said he’s been attending the convention since 1985. He told 5NEWS this year’s event drew people to Fort Smith from four different states.

“We have delegates here from Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma and Arkansas, so this is just a nice central area, and the facility’s really good to host it,” Lawrence said.

He said last year’s convention was held in Kansas City, and the year before that was also in Fort Smith. The convention is free and open to the public to attend.
