FORT SMITH (KFSM) -- After weeks of rainy weather, the sun made an appearance on Sunday (June 21) for the first day of summer.
Kids enjoyed playing baseball and making a splash at local pools.
Yeagers Store Manager Joe Milone has some advice for keeping your home cool this summer.
"Don't leave your fans running, because fans actually produce heat. Unless you're actually in the house -- I would shut the fans off while [you're] not at home," he said.
He also suggests keeping your air conditioning at about 72 degrees while out of the house, and keeping windows closed when the air conditioning is running.
