FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM)- Arkansas junior right-hander Trey Killian has officially signed a professional contract with the Colorado Rockies after being selected by the club in the ninth round of the MLB Draft earlier this month.

Killian spent three years with the Razorbacks, including the last two seasons as the team’s Friday night ace. He threw four complete games as a sophomore and added seven quality starts as a junior to post a 3.43 earned run average during his collegiate career.

Killian joins third baseman Bobby Wernes as the two former Hogs to sign contracts. Tyler Spoon and Andrew Benintendi are both expected to sign with the Boston Red Sox.
