(CNN) - Walmart said it will remove all Confederate flag merchandise from its stores, according to CNN.

Walmart.com currently carries the Confederate flag. It also carries attire featuring the flag's design, such as belt buckles and T-shirts, CNN reported.

"We never want to offend anyone with the products that we offer. We have taken steps to remove all items promoting the confederate flag from our assortment -- whether in our stores or on our website," said Walmart spokesman Brian Nick. "We have a process in place to help lead us to the right decisions when it comes to the merchandise we sell. Still, at times, items make their way into our assortment improperly -- this is one of those instances."

Does the American flag promote violence? Does the stars and stripes stand for violence and a history of violence?

We must demand that corporations stop selling it given what it represents. We need to demand states stop flying it given what it represents. Lets get that stop selling American flags political action committee and movement going. We have only freedom to gain. Do we want a total ban or just to demand states and corporations stop flying the flag. Schools need to take that flag down.
