ROGERS (KFSM) -- Professional and amateur golfers gathered to play 18 holes Thursday (25), for the second day of the LPGA pro-am tournament at in Rogers.

While many of the players have been out on the course, there is an area set up just for kids. Children get into the tournament for free, and parents can drop them off at the new Kids Center.

The Boys and Girls Club of Northwest Arkansas received a check Wednesday (June 24) for $375,567 from the Walmart Northwest Arkansas Championship Presented By P&G. It was a great way to give back to the kids in the community that do not often have access to all the great events as the community grows, said Karen Stuckey, Walmart senior vice president of sourcing.

"Everybody that wants to come to the course can come, including the kids, and that makes it a family friendly affair that often professional golf tournaments don't offer," Stuckey said. "I'm really proud of this community for what they offer to these families."

The Kids Center is air conditioned and includes games like Jenga, human checkers and even face painting.

The center is a solution for families who want to enjoy the course and tournament but also want to make sure that their kids are in a safe and secure location, Stuckey said.
