LITTLE ROCK (KTHV)- Groups showing their support for legalizing marijuana rallied for their cause in Little Rock on Wednesday (July 1).

Cannabis News radio host, Robert Reed, sponsored the event. He said the prohibition of cannabis does Arkansas more harm than good.

“Our farmers can’t grow it. Our factories can’t process it,” Reed said. “We don’t put our people to work we put them in prison. Then when it comes to the veterans side of it, between 23 and 68 veterans a day die to pharmaceuticals and suicide.”

Several groups like “National Weedstock” and “Twenty Two Veterans a Day” joined together for the rally. They also gathered petition signatures to get medical marijuana on the 2016 ballot.
