Arkansas Attorney General Engaged To Marion Soybean Farmer

LITTLE ROCK (KFSM)- Arkansas Attorney General Leslie Rutledge is engaged to an Arkansas soybean farmer after he proposed to her Fourth of July weekend, according to a release from Rutledge’s communications director.

Boyce Johnson, 55, of Marion proposed to Rutledge Friday. The two haven’t set a wedding date yet.

Rutledge spokesman Judd Deere said the attorney general and Johnson have been dating since 2013 when they met at the Arkansas Farm Bureau’s convention. Neither Rutledge nor Johnson has been married before.

Rutledge was elected to the attorney general’s office in 2014. Prior to that she was an attorney for the Republican National Committee and ex-Gov. Mike Huckabee.
