ADAIR COUNTY (KFSM) – An 82-year-old man died after crashing into a tree near Stilwell on Tuesday morning (July 7), authorities say.
Floyd M. Wariner was driving a 2006 Dodge Ram pickup truck on U.S. 59 when he went off the roadway to the right, according to Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
He then overcorrected, came back across the road, went off to the left and crashed into a tree, authorities said. Wariner was ejected approximately 30 feet from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
The crash took place at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday.
Oklahoma Highway Patrol said Wariner was not using a seatbelt at the time of the incident.
The weather was clear when the crash happened.
