CARROLL COUNTY, Ark. (KFSM) — A Berryville man is reported dead after an early morning crash on Highway 21.
Arkansas State Police said 22-year-old Matthew Bass was traveling northbound along Highway 21 around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday (July 7).
Police said Bass attempted to pass another vehicle while coming onto a right curve. Officers said Bass then traveled off of the roadway onto the left side, striking a rock embankment. Bass’s vehicle then bounced off of the rock embankment, sending the airborne vehicle over a culvert.
Investigators said Bass was pronounced dead at the scene.
