FORT SMITH (KFSM) - The Fort Smith Board of Directors named a new acting city administrator after former administrator Ray Gosack announced his retirement on Friday (July 10), officials say.
Jeff Dingman will become acting city administrator, according to the Fort Smith Board of Directors. Dingman served as deputy city administrator under Gosack, according to the city's website.
More details will be worked out at the August board of directors meeting, officials said.
Gosack announced his retirement after serving 31 years in city management. His retirement is effective as of Aug. 10, but he said Friday would be his last day "in the office."
