BELLA VISTA (KFSM) - Agencies across Northwest Arkansas are on day three of searching for Bentonville manhunt suspect Christopher Hood, who was last seen in the Bella Vista area late Saturday (July 11) night.

The Benton County Sheriff's Office received a tip on Sunday (July 12) that Hood was spotted on the Razorback Regional Greenway in Bella Vista, according to deputies Authorities said they have not been able to positively identify Hood based off the caller's information.

Deputies said a person called in saying they saw Hood on foot headed south on the greenway. Throughout the day Sunday, officers were seen patrolling the Bella Vista Lake area on foot, bike and ATV. No trails or roads are closed as of 10 p.m. Sunday.

On Saturday (July 11), authorities said they got a positive sighting of Hood in an area east of Highway 71 in Bella Vista at about 10 p.m. Law enforcement officers set up a perimeter and believe they had Hood contained, authorities said. A SWAT team was also on scene.

Earlier in the evening Fayetteville Police officers searched a duplex located on East Drake Street and North Sierra Avenue. Fayetteville police entered the residence and found an attic crawl space that appeared tampered with, the sheriff's office said. Officers then used a device that can detect heartbeat through walls and detected a heartbeat in the crawl space, according to the sheriff's office.

Officers retreated and began communicating with who they thought was Hood via a public address system from outside the duplex, the sheriff's office said. Officers were heard saying, "Christopher Lee Hood, come out peacefully. We don't want anyone to get hurt."

The incident began at about 8 p.m. At about 9:30 p.m. all law enforcement agencies left the scene in Fayetteville after getting a tip that Hood was sighted in Bella Vista, according to authorities.

Authorities across Northwest Arkansas are assisting in the search for Hood after he fired shots at a Benton County Sheriff's Office deputy as he was trying to serve Hood a warrant for an parole violation, according to the sheriff's office. Hood then ran from the Links at Rainbow Curve, prompting a massive manhunt in the area Friday night, the sheriff's office said.
