SPRINGDALE (KFSM) – A Springdale man was arrested on Monday (July 13) on suspicion of inappropriately touching a 13-year-old girl, police say.
Tulio Morales, 33, was booked into the Washington County Detention Center on Monday at 1:48 p.m. and faces a charge of second-degree sexual assault, according to jail records.
On July 2, Springdale police started investigating the incident. Morales spoke with police on Monday and said he knew he did wrong, according to an arrest report. He admitted to touching the girl inappropriately but said she “seduced him,” the report states.
Morales told police he never intended to touch the victim, but it happened, according to authorities.
“[The suspect] stated that it was the alleged victim’s fault and not his because he did not want to touch her,” the report states.
After the interview, Morales was taken into custody.
As of 4 p.m. on Tuesday (July 14), no bond was set for the suspect. His first hearing is scheduled for Wednesday (July 15) at 7:45 a.m., according to jail records.
