FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) – Two sex offenders, one from Madison County and another from Washington County, were sentenced to a combined total of 60 years for child pornography, according to a news release from U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas Conner Eldridge.

Ronald J. Griffin, 47, of Huntsville and Harry Robinson, 51, of Springdale were both sentenced to a combined total of 60 years in prison for unrelated sexual crimes involving minors, the release states.

Griffin was sentenced to 20 years in prison without parole, followed by 20 years of supervised release for distribution of child porn. Robinson was sentenced to 40 years in prison without parole followed by a lifetime of supervised release for production of child porn.

U.S. Attorney Eldridge commented, “Our office is focused on prosecuting individuals that abuse children, create pornography from that abuse, and traffic in images of these children.  Such conduct is horrific, despicable, and reprehensible.  As a result of their abhorrent conduct in these cases, these two individuals are going off to prison for a very long time, as well they should.”

According to court documents, Griffin contacted an undercover investigator in Australia on Jan. 1 and later sent the officer multiple pornographic images of children. He was later taken into custody.

Robinson was investigated by the Springdale Police Department in October 2014 after secretly recording a minor while she showered, according to court documents. He was also later arrested.

Multiple law enforcement agencies assisted in both cases.
