SILOAM SPRINGS (KFSM) - The Siloam Springs Riding Club's rodeo wrapped up its 57th year.

Daniel Kelly traveled nearly an hour from Goshen, to Siloam Springs, to see the rodeo with his family.

"I have been around it my whole life, and we really enjoy it,” Kelly said. “The crowd, and the people, are really good people. It's just a nice place to be, and a nice place to raise your kids here.”

Event organizers said they have an environment they try to keep at each event.

"It can be a pretty wild environment. A lot of excitement,” said Payden Franks, the manager of the rodeo.

Franks travels the nation's southern states, putting on shows.

"It takes a lot of hours, lots of late nights," Franks said. “If you got a week off, you're not making money.”

Kelly said he enjoys the shows that are put on at the annual rodeo.

"It’s always family based, and Godly based,” Kelly said. “That's what really matters a lot to me, and my family. It's just and excellent group of people to be around.”

“Everybody needs to go to one. If you don't go to one, you're really missing out,” Franks said. “There's a lot of things to do with a family.”

Organizers said, for 57 years, the rodeo had been the third week of June

However, this year it was postponed due to weather.
