LITTLE ROCK (KTHV) – The Arkansas Department of Workforce Services announced on Tuesday (July 21) that Arkansas’ unemployment rate last month dropped slightly to 5.7 percent.

The agency said that the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate declined one-tenth of a percentage point last month from 5.8 percent in May. The national jobless rate dropped two-tenths of a percentage point, from 5.5 percent in May to 5.3 percent in June.

Arkansas’ civilian labor force increased 200. This is a result of 1,400 more employed and 1,200 fewer unemployed Arkansans.
