VAN BUREN (KFSM) – A man accused of threatening an Arkansas State Police officer near Mountainburg in June has bonded out of the Crawford County Detention Center.

Gil Antonio Ramirez-Lemus, 45, who was shot during the incident with the trooper, was released from jail July 9 on a $25,000 bond. His next court date has not yet been scheduled, according to the Crawford County Circuit Clerk’s office.

Ramirez-Lemus has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, aggravated assault and theft by receiving.

Ramirez-Lemus was wounded by a state trooper June 8 after raising a rock in a threatening manner at the trooper.

On June 26, the Crawford County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office said the shooting was justified.

Ramirez-Lemus was hospitalized for several weeks following the shooting.
