The Reds will receive three left-handed pitchers in the deal Brandon Finnegan who started out the year with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, John Lamb, and current Naturals pitcher Cody Reed. The Royals will also receive cash considerations in the deal.

Cueto, has pitched to a 2.62 ERA in 130 2/3 innings this season. While injuries were a past concern, Cueto since the start of last season has worked 374 1/3 innings.

Cueto is owed the balance of a $10-million salary for 2015, and he’s eligible for free agency this upcoming offseason.

Since Reed was promoted to Northwest Arkansas in June, he is 2-2 with a 3.45 ERA in 5 starts. In his last outing he threw seven scoreless innings against the Tulsa Drillers.
