Alma rolled through the first three weeks of the season and a loss to Little Rock Catholic seemed to be a wake up call but a week five date against rival Siloam Springs turned into a brawl rather than a breather.
The Panthers scored 21 first quarter points, including two scores from at least 75 yards out as Siloam Springs built a 21-7 lead.
Alma settled in and looked poised to pick up their fourth win of the season as they led 31-24 in the final minutes. But again Siloam Springs struck.
Siloam Springs scored on a 20-yard passing strike in the final three minutes to tie the game then the Panthers picked off a pass in overtime to steal the 30-27 win.
