FORT SMITH (KFSM) – Up to 100 new jobs are coming to Fort Smith thanks to a new expansion for cold storage warehouse Zero Mountain, officials say.
The company announced the expansion on Monday (July 27) and said it acquired the Southpark LLC U.S.D.A. dry warehouse next to the Zero Mountain location at 8426 AR-45 in Fort Smith, according to a news release. The former Southpark LLC warehouse is a 206,000 square-foot facility.
In addition to that acquisition, Zero Mountain announced a 90,000 square-foot expansion to its own location that will include freezer and cooler space, allowing the facility to have in excess of 550,000 square feet of cold storage warehouse space, the release states.
Zero Mountain also announced that it would be expanding its workforce by adding 25 new employees and expanding to 100 new employees as the company moves forward with the expansion.
The company has been in existence for more than 60 years and offers cold storage warehousing, dry storage warehousing, transportation logistics and more. Zero Mountain has locations in Johnson, Fort Smith, Lowell and Russellville, according to their website.
