FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) - One man was hospitalized early Tuesday (July 28) when a car collided with his motorcycle near Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville.

The man who had been on the motorcycle was wheeled on a stretcher to an emergency vehicle. From there, he was taken to the nearby hospital. An eyewitness living in the Appleby apartments across the street from where the wreck happened said he spoke with the man on the stretcher, who told him his leg was hurting.

The accident happened about 9:30 a.m., when police said a Prius with two passengers collided with a Ducati motorcycle at West Appleby Road and North Gregg Avenue. The two people in the car were not, police said.

Police said the driver of the car was turning on a green light at Appleby and Gregg when the collision happened.

Authorities early Tuesday did not release the names of the people involved in the wreck and had not determined whether any citations would be issued.
