PARIS (KFSM) – A suspect wanted on suspicion of being involved in a Walmart robbery has been arrested.

Nelson Inman, 32, punched a Walmart worker after stealing $150 of merchandise from the store on North 62nd Street on July 16, 2015, according to a police report.

The Logan Sheriff’s Department was informed of Inman’s description from the Fort Smith Police Department and drove to Inman’s house in Paris, Arkansas.

When officials arrived at the house, they discovered Inman and another man in a car with methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Inman and the other man were arrested and taken into custody at the Logan County Jail. According to Sheriff Boyd Hicks, Inman will be temporarily held in custody at the jail before being transported by Sebastian County Sheriff’s Department.

The worker had told police that Inman had taken a blue tooth speaker and a phone. He also provided police with surveillance video footage, giving police a description of Inman’s appearance.

Inman will be booked at the Sebastian County Detention Center after he is transported.

Inman has already been charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon, aggravated assault, second degree battery, first degree terroristic threatening and the violation of a protection order, all from a previous incident on May 6, 2015.
