FORT SMITH (KFSM)- A woman was found dead in a pool at a Fort Smith home Tuesday (July 28), according to Fort Smith police.
The home is located at 5117 Wirsing Ave. Police said the woman's husband found her.
It is unclear whether the death was an accident, but police said they do not suspect foul play. Police said the woman, who was in her late 40s or early 50s, was home alone at the time of the drowning and was wearing a bathing suit.
The woman's body is going to be sent to the Arkansas Crime Lab for an autopsy. Police are not releasing the woman's name at this time.
