Riding the momentum of winning three of their final four games in 2014, Arkansas was picked No. 20 in the preseason Amway Coaches Poll that was released on Thursday.

The Razorbacks finished 7-6 last season after a dominant 31-7 win over Texas in the Advocare Texas Bowl in Houston. Arkansas also posted shutout wins over Ole Miss and LSU late in the year.

Arkansas is one of eight SEC teams ranked with Alabama being tabbed the highest from the conference at No. 3 overall and received one first place vote. Defending national champion Ohio State was the preseason No. 1 as they received 62 of 64 first place votes. TCU was picked No. 2 while Baylor and Oregon round out the top five.

Five teams from the SEC West were in the poll as Auburn (No. 7), LSU (No. 13), and Ole Miss (No. 15) were also selected while Mississippi State and Texas A&M were the top two teams in votes received outside the top 25.

Georgia is the highest ranked team from the SEC East as they were selected No. 9 while Missouri (23) and Tennessee (25) were also in the preseason poll.

Oklahoma is one spot ahead of Arkansas at No. 19 while Oklahoma State was third among schools outside the top 25 in votes received.
