BENTONVILLE (KFSM) – The Siloam Springs teacher accused of raping and exchanging explicit photographs with a 13-year-old boy in August 2014 has been sentenced to eight years in prison.
Benton County Prosecuting Attorney Nathan Smith said Mary Faith McCormick, 33, was sentenced Thursday afternoon (July 30) to eight years in prison, followed by an additional 12 years suspended sentence.
Smith said first degree sexual assault is a Class A felony. McCormick pleaded guilty to the charge.
McCormick also must register as a sex offender.
