CRAWFORD COUNTY (KFSM) - You can taste some of the best foods Crawford County has to offer all while helping a good cause.

This as the annual "Taste of Crawford County" lunch and dinner is served up at Van Buren High School on Tuesday (Aug.4).

Many food vendors will be out to serve up delicious food, including places like Texas Roadhouse, Outback Steakhouse and La Fiesta.

People who attend will also get to bet money on items in a silent auction.

All the proceeds that are raised today will go back to CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates). This is a non-profit organization that trains volunteer advocates who serve to ensure that neglected children have safe and permanent homes.

The organization relies on donations, grants and fundraisers so they can have money to train the kids for various needs.

To accommodate your schedule, there are two sessions you can choose from today.

  • Lunch is from 11 a.m. from 1:00 p.m.
  • Dinner is tonight from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Tickets are still available for today's event. They cost $10 if you purchase ahead of time or $15 at the door.
