Police Search For Suspect In Fort Smith Bank Robbery

FORT SMITH (KFSM) -- Police are searching for a suspect who they say robbed First National Bank on 9300 Highway 71 South, according to a Fort Smith Police Department official release.

The suspect is described as a white male, close to 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds, according to the release. He was also wearing a ski mask according to the release.

It also stated the suspect was carrying a blue pillowcase, armed with a hand gun. The suspect was last seen in an older model silver Ford Taurus, possibly headed toward Greenwood on Highway 71.

Sgt. Daniel Grubbs said the suspect took off with an undisclosed amount of cash.
