For a "5NEWS This Morning" segment that ran Saturday (August 15), anchor Daren Bobb spoke to the Arkansas Education Association President Brenda Robinson. She said educators and teacher alike look forward to this time of year because they know how important it is to teach. She also said establishing a routine in the days leading up to school starting will help kids.
They highlighted the trend in some school districts to not have textbooks, and instead adopt electronic devices as a means to learning. Robinson adds that parents need to be involved with their kids schooling and give them positive reinforcement.
