FAYETTEVILLE (KFSM) — An Illinois man has been found guilty on one count of knowingly transporting a minor in interstate commerce with intent to engage in sexual activity, according to a release from U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Arkansas Conner Eldridge.

David S. Duffin, 44, was indicted by a federal grand jury on June 3, 2015, and will receive his sentencing at a later date. The release states “the maximum penalty is not less than 10 years imprisonment or for life, not more than $250,000 fine, or both.”

Duffin had been arrested in April 2015 on suspicion of rape and kidnapping charges.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, and the Chicago Police Department, according to the release.
